AI SAFETY CONNECT
Where the world meets to make AI safe
COMING SOON
AI Safety Connect at the India AI Impact Summit 2026
FEBRUARY 2026
How we govern AI now will define our collective future.
As advanced AI systems accelerate toward artificial general intelligence (AGI) and potentially artificial superintelligence (ASI), the risks associated with these systems pose urgent and unprecedented challenges to international security and stability.
AI Safety Connect (AISC) is a high-level, invitation-only event series that assists policymakers, entrepreneurs, cutting-edge laboratories, and investors in exploring practical safety pathways toward safe and beneficial AI that enables human flourishing.
We operate as a companion series, strategically following major international events such as the UN General Assembly, AI Summits, and key academic conferences to enable high-quality dialogue and collaboration on effective AI safety governance.
Objectives
Our focus is on the interplay between technical AI safety and international coordination.
Through structured dialogues, we facilitate:
CONTEXTUALIZATION
Situational awareness of advanced AI capabilities and risks.
COOPERATION
Practical avenues to advance multistakeholder and international AI safety cooperation.
COORDINATION
Strategic alignment for action by and among AI safety institutes, frontier labs, and governments.
Mission
AI Safety Connect
AI Safety Connect catalyzes international coordination on AGI and ASI safety and governance by serving as a trusted and neutral platform for decision-makers across geographies, sectors, and political philosophies to advance concrete frameworks and solutions.
With frontier labs openly aiming to achieve AGI/ASI, robust Trust & Safety frameworks become the foundational architecture upon which advanced AI risks can be managed and beneficial AI systems can deliver transformative progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Add into the mix the 35-year low in human development progress facing the global community, there is an urgent need to ensure that advanced AI systems are developed and deployed in ways that close the AI equity gap.
AI Safety Connect brings together high-level stakeholders from government, international organizations, frontier labs, civil society, and academia to:
ADVANCE
Advance actionable efforts to define unacceptable developments and deployments of general-purpose AI systems while establishing shared and enforceable responsibility mechanisms between public and private sectors.
OPERATIONALIZE
Operationalize frameworks and concrete mechanisms that ensure safety-by-design, equity, and global inclusivity principles are embedded across AI development and deployment cycles.
ELEVATE
Elevate AI safety on the global diplomatic agenda by supporting multilateral and multi-stakeholder initiatives such as the UN Resolution (A/RES/79/325) to establish an Independent International Scientific Panel on AI and the Report on Urgent AGI Considerations to the Council of Presidents of the UNGA; and the frontier safety frameworks initiated at the Bletchley Park Summit.
